Invercraig Place – a living legacy of Coldstream.

The Vernon Archives has been bequeathed with visual records – photographs taken of historical Coldstream. In particular, a group of photographs taken some 91 years ago, capture the spirit and legacy of the past.

The photo to the left - June 1914 – shows the stately estate christened "Invercraig" perched overlooking Kalamalka Lake and adjacent rolling hills. Other photos show wedding guests dressed in elaborate fashion – who came from lengthy distances to celebrate and mill about the Invercraig Estate.

After the original house burned down, a new home was built in the same spot by Wilfred and Margaret Leboe in 1973. They and their friends commonly referred to their home as Invercraig Estate, it remained until 2005 and was dismantled to lead the way for many more to enjoy sharing the heritage homesite.

A unique opportunity to claim a legacy for your own; "Invercraig Place" integrates the legacy of the past into the homes of the future. New owners will be presented with a framed photograph of the original homesite with the inscription Invercraig Place - 1914.
